Business Challenge

Telemundo had four different non-integrated accounting systems and an outdated reporting software package which prevented real time access to financial management and efficient processing. The company needed to upgrade its software to accelerate its internal reporting, including purchase order processing, financial forecasting, information management and billing.

Solution

To shorten month-end closings and eliminating report generation inefficiencies, Telemundo decided to switch to a Microsoft Great Plains eEnterprise Solution. Solutions@MBAF completed the implementation within 90 days. This involved data migration and integration from multiple systems, as well as integration from the company’s traffic system. Additionally, Solutions@MBAF developed a comprehensive financial reporting package, which consolidated all financial information into an easy to access resource.

After implementation, Solutions@MBAF provided training on the use of the software for remote locations and assisted the company with business processing changes. During this implementation, all of Telemundo’s financial systems were centralized in their Miami headquarters, and applications were accessed via the web using Citrix web-based technology. The result was elimination of inefficiencies and complete access to their business data.
